In the beginning...

Reverend Marion Brazell welcomed interested residents to a storefront on Highway 544 on August 16, 1984. Our church became a formal organization as a congregation on February 16, 1985. Over the next four years 106 people signed our charter as members of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, under the synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church association.

Our new home...

On a warm Sunday afternoon on January 15, 1989, we broke ground on our current site. The 7,000 square foot building was erected, and our first service was held on June 4, 1989. As we grew, we added part time positions of an organist/music director and an office secretary.

A place for fellowship...

In 2005 we dedicated our new 5,000 square foot fellowship building. The same year people of the church renovated our space in the main building, adding Sunday school classrooms, a sacristy, a music room and a conference room.

A change of plans...

Over the course of 2009-2010, our congregation became part of Lutheran Congregations in Mission to Christ (LCMC), a free association of Lutheran churches. Since Pastor Marion's retirement in 2013, Pastor Rick Weidman and Rev. Dr. Henry Corcoran, better known as Pastor Hank, have led our congregation. Today our congregation numbers around 280 Baptized members.
